How much will it cost and how do I pay? - back to top
Payment is easy, either by Paypal, Internet banking, Western Union or any other method that suits you. If paying by Paypal you just go to www.paypal.com and click 'send money' then you can pay via your Paypal account or using your credit card.
Every task is different so it is not possible to list costs and fees here. Simply contact us and begin the process. We will be up front with you and on many occasions it will be possible to set fees. You will only have to deal with one contact person and your information is held with utmost confidentiality. Contact us
Where in South Africa do you operate? - back to top
We are based in Johannesburg but maintain coverage through out all of the country’s major population areas. You should bear in mind that South Africa has substantial areas that are best described as rural if not bush. We can covers such areas but this obviously increases costs in cases where we have to visit in person.
Do you operate throughout Africa?- back to top
We have either assisted or worked in many African countries however as you may expect some present different challenges to others. There is a world of geographical, cultural, linguistic and security differences between Somalia and South Africa. Both are in Africa but could be on different planets!. In some regions we have contacts on the ground, for other cases it my be cheaper and quicker for us to travel. We will ALWAYS choose the best combination of effectiveness and cost for your requirements.

ACLARADO ENQUIRIES guarantees absolute discretion and confidentiality. Your details are held securely and are never passed to third parties without your authority. Even in cases where we may seek the assistance of colleagues in other countries we will never identify our clients and will only provide the bare minimum of information required for the task to be completed.
Can you find anyone? - back to top
Even with unlimited time and funds there remain challenges that can seem impossible. If it were simply a matter of funds Osama bin Laden would be found, Lord Lucan of the UK would have been locked up years ago and half of the FBI’s and Scotland Yard’s most wanted would be behind bars.
Those are of course extreme examples but we pride ourselves in an exceptional success rate both within South Africa and overseas. In South Africa our knowledge of local assets, procedures, records, culture language and geography mean that our success rates may surprise you.
We have also regularly had overseas clients request that we trace individuals in a third country due to our international experience.

As often as not requests for surveillance are cancelled due to the information required being available through other means. ACLARADO ENQUIRIES will always advise upon the best combination of effectiveness and cost to meet your requirements.
Where it is necessary you should keep in mind that surveillance is both an expensive a specialized skill. Not many are good at it. As we believe that people should stick at what they are best at ACLARADO ENQUIRIES does not undertake surveillance tasking. We can however recommend possible the best equipped and most experienced provider of such services in South Africa. Absolutely - even if we you do not subsequently task ACLARADO ENQUIRIES any communications will be treated with the greatest confidence.
How can I become a PI? - back to top
ACLARADO ENQUIRIES do not have any current vacant positions. Those with prior investigative experience should feel free to send a CV for future consideration but we will only respond if and when a suitable position arises.
If you are looking to start fresh in the PI business you will face a Catch 22 problem regarding your inability to get a job without experience and your inability to get experience without obtaining an investigative position.
It is far tougher, a lot less glamorous and certainly not as well paid as the popular literature and Hollywood would have you believe.
Find a course, research licensing requirements, offer to intern on an expenses only basis (although not to ACLARADO ENQUIRIES at the moment), ensure that you have something to offer on top of ENDLESS enthusiasm such as photography, some form of research savy or a knowledge of publicly available records. Then find out everything else you need to know. If you cannot find out what you need to know then you will not be of much use in the job!
Forget any preconception you have of being cool, earning a fortune, and similar “Hollywooditis”
Then if you are REALLY sure do not give up. Arguably some of the most important attributes in the investigative industry over and above having contacts, cultivating sources, and prior experience are tenacity, perseverance and enthusiasm.
